My journey began in a small, humble town in Sindh, Pakistan. Through immense dedication and the support of many, my path led me to where I am today: a Senior Rheumatology Consultant serving with the NHS Trust in the UK.

I am deeply honoured to now wear the hats of a doctor, a teacher, an author, and, most importantly, a mentor. My mission is to give back, to guide aspiring medical minds, and to share the knowledge I've gathered on this incredible journey. This is more than a profession for me; it is my calling.
My Journey
From the Foundations of Medicine to Specialist Excellence: My Path in Rheumatology
My medical journey is a testament to the belief that consistent learning and dedication can bridge any gap. From the lecture halls of Pakistan to the specialist wards of the UK's NHS, every step has been guided by a passion for medicine and a commitment to my patients and students. This path has not always been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and it is the foundation upon which I built LearnWithAsif.org.
My Academic & Professional Journey
Building the Foundation
My journey began with a solid foundation, earning my MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in 2009. This was where I first developed the clinical curiosity and patient-centric approach that defines my practice today.
Mastering Internal Medicine in Pakistan.

I dedicated the following years to advancing my expertise in Pakistan, achieving two significant milestones:

FCPS Medicine Fellowship from the prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (2016). This rigorous training honed my skills in internal medicine and shaped me into a competent physician.

Concurrently, I had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at GIMS, Pakistan. This role allowed me to give back, mentoring the next generation of doctors while deepening my own understanding through teaching.
Achieving International Accreditations

To broaden my expertise and meet international standards, I pursued and earned qualifications from renowned royal colleges:

MRCP (Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland) in 2016.

MRCP(UK) from the Glasgow College, further solidifying my credentials in the United Kingdom.
Specializing in Rheumatology

My passion for solving complex diagnostic puzzles and managing chronic conditions led me to my true calling: Rheumatology. I dedicated myself to this specialty and achieved:

SCE Rheumatology from the Royal College of Physicians, London (2023), marking the culmination of my specialized training and establishing me as a certified consultant in the field.
Where I Am Today
Today, I am proud to serve as a Senior Rheumatology Consultant within the NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. In this role, I combine my extensive training and international experience to provide expert care to my patients and guidance to my colleagues.

My journey from a medical student in Pakistan to a consultant in the UK has given me a unique perspective on medical education. I understand the challenges students face, the dedication required to specialize, and the importance of clear, compassionate mentorship.
